Buhl Highway District
Established November 1912
The Buhl Highway District is one of four highway districts serving Twin Falls County, Idaho. Each district is a political subdivision of the State of Idaho and a special-purpose district, independent of the state, city, or county governments. The authority and responsibilities of highway districts are outlined in Idaho Code Title 40, Chapter 13.
The Buhl Highway District is responsible for maintaining approximately 267 miles of rural roadways, including bridges, culverts, and associated signage within its boundaries. The District does not have jurisdiction over roads within the City of Buhl or the City of Castleford.
The District is divided into three sub-districts, each represented by an elected Commissioner. The District employs eight staff members dedicated to maintaining and improving the rural road network.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
LEGAL SERVICES – GENERAL COUNSEL
The Buhl Highway District, Twin Falls County, Idaho, is requesting proposals from qualified attorneys or law firms to provide general legal services and representation for the District.
Services will include advising the Board of Commissioners and staff on matters such as highway district law, right-of-way and easement issues, contracts, personnel matters, public meeting compliance, and representation in administrative and judicial proceedings.
Proposers must be licensed to practice law in the State of Idaho. Experience with public agencies and familiarity with Idaho Code Title 40 (Highway Districts) is preferred.
